SG Range: 1.045 to 1.060
FG Range: 1.010 to 1.016
IBU Range: 20 to 40+
SRM Range: 18 to 35
Well-modified pale malt, either American or Continental, plus crystal and darker malts should complete the malt bill. American hops are typical, but UK or noble hops can also be used. Moderate carbonate water would appropriately balance the dark malt acidity.

Yeast Strain(s) Used: American 1056
Fermentaion Temp: 68°F
Add into the secondary fermentor- medium toast american oak cubes (3 oz) that have been soaked in bourbon for one week (during Primary fermentation)along with the 3 vanilla beans that have been split length wise. leave in secondary for 4-6 weeks. At 3 weeks start to taste every week or so until the flavor is where you want it (if you aren't there after 5 weeks, and more beans and/or some bourbon).
