I agree with digger.  I don't know how I missed this one over the past couple of years.  Is it that new?  This has got to be the most use-friendly brewing software site I've come across yet.  However, the numbers don't match up with the calculations from the Beer Recipator, though I suspect that the Recipator's are skewed.

This can be an awesome site if...
   Posted By: 2012-08-26 21:36:54

I just found this site and love the idea. This could easily be "THE SITE" for homebrewers and small breweries to share info if everyone would use it as such. Here are some suggestions.....

For the site administrator-

  • Create a way that users can pick a recipe and upload it to the formulator for adjusting or printing as is
  • Add option in "Hop Schedule" to indicate dry hopping
For the rest of us-
  • Give more details in the notes so others can attempt your recipe (ie "add watermelon juice at boil" does not much?, when?, etc)
  • Give more info about how your beer came out...cratique your work
  • Keep adding recipe's

Working out some Bugs
   Posted By: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

I'm currently working out some of the bugs I've noticed. I may redo some of the recipes that have been added to the library so that they will have complete information (ie. Total IBUs on Zombies Nightmare).

Teens Get Drunk On Award-Winning Microbrew
   Posted By: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

***Please Note - The following story is a "Fake News" story. I absolutely DO NOT endorse under-age drinking.

According to reports, Jared Rosenthal, Andrew Gobbola and Tracey Sheehan, 17-year-old seniors at East Brunswick High, obtained the beer from Rosenthal's refrigerator while his parents, bona-fide beer-lovers capable of fully relishing the subtle, hand-crafted taste of a MacTadcaster's, were away for the weekend.

Though none of the teens were able to comment on the Nut Brown Stout's chocolatey aroma or its surprisingly smoky almond finish, Rosenthal did say that it had "fucked him up majorly" and that he was "seriously payin" the price.

Added Gobbola: "Dude, I was ripped to the tits."

Despite consuming enormous quantities of the beer, the teens failed to detect the all-wheat malt that MacTadcaster's has developed over the years to give its beer "bottom." Further, none of them commented on the beer's uniquely dry, smoky hopping or the pleasant coffee highlights so often discussed among MacTadcaster's Nut Brown Stout cognoscenti.

Only the rich, robust texture of the beer drew any comment from the teens, with Sheehan overheard telling Rosenthal, "That beer is some thick shit."

Welcome to the BeerFormulator Brew Blog
   Posted By: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

This forum is new and still in the testing phase. Please send me an email to report any issues. I have a few ideas such as user pages and a brew terms wiki. I'll also be adding a comments section for the blog. Plus I'll be adding an automatic output from the Recipe Formulator, directly into the blog in a plain text format or possibly html. Well good luck brewing...cheers!
